Opening Thought – At least Look Good.
The least you can do is look good. This is what’s great about wearing a terrific golf “ensemble’ (as my zero handicapper pal Gregg Duffy says) when you hit the course.
1. You instantly command respect. The guys in the pro shop will instantly say to themselves “hey this guy is a GOLFER” before they charge you the full rate.
2. You look like you have money. We all want to look rich. This makes you attractive to Taylor the cart girl.
3. You look like you have game. This is valuable only until your first drive banana slices into the house. No matter what I say, you can’t hide a bad golfer. The ensemble only gives you the benefit of the doubt AT FIRST. Eventually they’ll find out that you’re just like every other golfer.
4. You make the other three slobs with beer guts and cargo shorts look better.
5. Ignore me and go ahead and wear the cargo shorts with bland striped golf shirt and old school, worn out brown panel shoes. Just don’t expect to see Taylor on the back 9.
